Update..................

Installed a spring on my pickup...put this one on the throttle rod above the pedal...with the spring anchored on a steel dash brace up under the dash. Made a "loop" to attach the spring at the pedal rod...using a small hose clap to hold it on.

Both vehicles (1.5 L and 2.4L-4x4s) are set to engage at around the same throttle position as at 55 mph in 5th gear.

With both I intend to shift at around 2.5K which is where both run in 5th at 55 mph...seems the combo is power enough to get down the road OK.

Expect both to save around 2-3 mpg vs more typical driving.

Probably a good idea to use a very small turnbuckle to adjust these...since the "slop" is only a fraction of an inch.

Specs for the truck:

vac at idle = 21 HG

vac at 55 mph in 5th = 10 to 14 HG....O2 cycles at this vac level...not if it goes below this though.
