New York's not the best place to do this sort of experiment. You'd want the cars parked with no vehicles in front of them, so as to get unobstructed airflow. Parked behind a van, as in the picture? I think the resulting shape would be valid only for really close drafting :-)
The other problem I see is that the lack of mechanical strength means you're not going to get really good boattails.
