It's a little tough for me to get over 30 regularly on this truck. I believe the #1 disadvantage I have is the extra cab. Most extra cab S10s have a 4.10 gear rear end to help compensate for the extra weight of the cab. I believe this truck weigh's 3800 lbs but I'd have to double check or weigh it at work to be sure. I'd love to change out the rear end with a wrecked junkyard S10 and maybe to to a 3.42 rear end to see if this helped me on MPG or if it hurt my acceleration/dirvability.

I still plan on keeping this truck as my daily driver for several more years. I haven't updated fuel logs in a while, I need to get back on that. I've been averaging 27 mpg lately, I still drive in a hypermiling style but have been driving more high speed highways lately. I recently bought a taurus fan from Ebay and plan installing it on my next long weekend, I'll post an update and let you know how much I gained from it.
