My Probe was a Craigslist cheapie. It smokes horribly when I start it (valve seals are shot) but I will not sink money in that car. It was horrible- 1 minute of smoke and it did not smoke at all after that. Now it is better.
I took it in to see how long it would last and get an oil change. I do not know what they put in the oil; but now I start it, get a cloud of blue smoke for about 15 seconds- and have no obvious tailpipe emissions all day.
I do not have any oil pressure, but that Mazda engine seems to like it.
