...how about that "home-improvement" foam in a can?
...make a mold (wax paper?), spray in the foam; let it harden, sand down, and cover with suitably colored cloth, tolex, or faux-naugahyde.
...for a tight fit, wrap the SGII (without cable) in wax paper and position in as you want within the mold.
