That might be the way to go. I just can not get any parts for the City-el. I noticed the 2009 City-el had 4 batteries on one side and the motor was on the opposite side and was moved 90 degrees from the axle. Mine is totally different. They might not have parts at the City-el factory for a centrally mounted diagonal motor surrounded by 4 batteries.
