There's no way we could come out on top with this - the farm industry causes way more problems than it solves, and greenwashing bull**** like this can only make things worse for us, better for agribusiness. I am willing to elaborate, but please read up on it or watch "Farm, Inc." or something. Pushing for this oil is as foolish as pushing for ethanol. Yes, we're still getting raped by oil, but I prefer to be raped by as few industries as possible. I still have to figure out how I feel about that recycled oil... +they don't have any 0W

It appears they're not raising cattle for the fat. They are recycling what is already being made. Pick your poison. From the website.

Green Earth’s demand for domestic animal fat is kept well below the supply available in the United States so that price increases will not be driven by supply side shortages. The U.S. department of Agriculture reports that the United States alone produces 9.6 billion pounds of beef, pork and chicken fat. Green Earth Technologies only needs a fraction of the total fat to manufacture enough G-OIL base biological material for a double digit market share of the nation’s oil and lubrication market. The healthy supply and demand relationship between Green Earth and the material that sustains its business is in drastic contrast to the competition for the limited supply of corn oil in the food supply vs. ethanol debate.
