New member - hey there.

Hello from Minnesnowta,

New member here on the forum. I recently moved to a small town about 1 hour from the big city. Have to drive much further to work now and found out about the MPGuino. Right now, I have a '90 Cutlass Supreme and a '00 Chrysler Grand Voyager, but am looking for something to replace one of those two.

I was planning on making a MPGuino from scratch because I saw on the WEBSITE that the kits are out of stock
I'm not sure about making one from scratch because I don't have any 2-sided PCB blank boards and haven't tried to home etch a 2-sided board before (have done 1-sided w/no problem). Also, I don't have a way to program the processor, either. Well, I suppose it's time to fork over the $$ and start if I want to build one. Or, is there another source for the PCB and programmed chip?

Looking forward to see how high I can get my mileage. The van has a wimpy factory computer that shows current MPG, average MPG and distance to empty - but I've always wondered how accurate it is.
