I could not understand how to use the plastic waste basket shapes until I saw your pictures. At first I thought that the "coverage" of the front wheels was not enough. I thought it was too shallow because the commercial ones are a "flat rectangle". But, the longer I look at yours, the better I think they are. Also, I think you should go find a Prius. Behind the rear wheel is a special shape. Imagine the hull of a toy plastic boat. Then turn it upside down and stick it behind the rear wheel. Here is what I mean :



Maybe this is why they call it a "boat tail", .
