Drywall screws are what I had, so that's what I used. I'm not really thinking of removing it anytime soon. I don't have anything to replace the bumper with, so that'll have to stay. I did pull out my really thick bead liner. It's made up of old tires and is about an inch thick. It probably weighs more than a hundred pounds. I'm a fairly big guy (6'4" 185lbs) and I had to wrestle with it to get it out.
I installed this with a half tank of fuel. I will check the mileage then and then again with a full tank of gas. Also, before my next refuel, I will be replacing the air filter and fuel filter.
I really should be driving my '93 Civic more, but it is uncomfortable for me to drive and difficult to get in and out of. Last time I drove it I managed to eek out 40mpg. I think that's pretty impressive since it has a spoiler, sun roof deflector and 189,992 miles.
