Ahhhh, yes, racing. In racing you want the least amount of coast as you can! Accelerate TO THE CORNER, brake at the very last second to slow it enough to be able to make the corner, then accerate away from the corner to the next one.

This is the total and complete opposite to hypermiling of course. So the practice of two feet driving flys in the face of what you are trying to do.

You need a NEW habit! I try to put my left foot FLAT on the floor in front of the seat so it is completly out of the way. Really, you should have NO feet on any pedal most of the time around the city.
