Side note. DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT turn off any Hyundai automatic transmission while rolling! NO EOC! They use some sort of rubberized clutch packs that can't take it. I just got an '04 Elantra and it says absolutely NO "flat-towing" or moving for any distance with the engine off. You can shut off at red lights, any coast up maybe a few car lengths, but no more than that.

I guarantee you that you can get it to 35 MPG! I have a bigger car, and I'm already there - check it out.

Watch your tire pressures, and try not to rev it over 2500 at any point. Once you get used to 2500, try to push that down to 2k.
