I'm starting again: Honda Integra
To start with, for American and British readers, I apologise for the use of metric measurements.
Hi again guys,
The previous times I've been active on these forums, I was too ambitious in my theories (pedal powered Mightyboy), but I've finally realised that I have very limited expertise in mechanics (my Dad works in IT, so he is not very mechanically-minded).
I recently got my driver's licence, and have been able to purchase a 1996 Honda Integra. For the price that I bought it for, it seems to be pretty perfect with no real issues. The only issue I have is that I'm a poor student, and I need to find a way to squeeze more distance out of the tank.
Doing some simple calculations (dividing distance and tank size), it turns out that I use 1.5L-2L/100km more than the official (Australian) urban fuel consumption levels (10-10.4L/100km vs 8.6L/100km).
What are the best ways to improve my fuel consumption? The car is a 5-speed manual.
Thanks
