Just to put my mileage where my fingers are, I just had my absolute worst all-time tank since joining Ecommodder :

Code:
Fill date Distance Fill amount MPG
2010-05-04 128.6 mi. 3.87 US gal 33.23 US
There are two reasons for this. One, I have started commuting, so there is more weight in the car and compromise on my part in terms of my driving style. The second is that I was helping my wife with her jewelry business. I was hauling art-fair tents, tables, and other assorted junk up and down hills where I live. It was the ultimate MPG black hole. Lots of short trips on steep inclines.

However, 33 MPG with two people in the car is like 66 MPG with one person in the car. And, when my mini-wagon is hauling stuff and doing *work*, it is making $ for me and mine.
