I think that the same could be said about *all* tires -- traction and tread wear are to a certain extent, mutually exclusive. And it may be that LRR may actually improve one or the other *or* both because LRR means less internal friction, which means less heat build up in the carcass. Less heat means more consistent traction over a range of conditions, and probably less wear, too.
