The motors are the same for these cars minus intake manifolds and other small things. Do you know exactly what is different that makes the HX have lean burn? I can swap in an ECU from an HX and my car will run fine minus having vtec. I know a couple of performance oriented ECU tuners that mainly do boosted engines and im going to contact them and see if they can chip an ecu to fuel economy.
