I figured this was exactly as tounge-in-cheek as the OP.
I do all my calculations and take most of my measurements in metric. But I do use miles per hour and gallons because I really don't have any way to measure fuel in liters, and the speed limits are posted in mph.
Now, if you were truly enlightened, you'd measure your speed im m/s and your fuel in grams.
