Lots of people here from the cold north. I did my time 15 years ago. Now I get up a 6am on Sat mornings to get the yard work done before it hits 90 at 9am (Tucson AZ).
My recommendation is get the grill block and block heater figured out before its too cold to work on the car. In cold north driving, those are the two things that will keep your winter gas mileage from dropping too far. Look at peoples fuel logs and see how bad the mileage gets in the winter compared to the summer. That was a big eye opener to me when I started here.
