I haven't been doing the rev-matching though I kept thinking that I should since that's what I've always done when down shifting. Now I know and will start my blipping again!

I do have a SGII and I know that if I keep the "LOD" down below 86 I will stay in closed loop mode. Through a little in-town driving today, I have managed to repeat my WOT LOD at 78 almost every time, if not just a tad below.
