Dude, you don't have to take off the front clip to replace a turbo. On the Jettas and golfs it is only a 3 or 4 hour job for someone who knows what they are doing.

There is nothing inherently wrong with the design of a turbocharged VW engine that couldn't go wrong with a turbocharged GM engine.... They are both more complex than a N/A engine. And yes, EOC P & G is not real smart for a turbo.

But if you buy a new VW, you have 5 yrs / 60k miles to make the dealer work for free anyway...
