Hello Paul,

I was doing some research and was wondering if you have ever thought about the possibility of controlling a motor design like the Kawai? It seems like a very efficient design and rather simple to implement using some fairly common parts. He used a mechanical timing device but I do believe it could be done all electronically using todays selection of devices available. 0 back EMF and one could easliy add a 2nd stator ring/rotor magnet assembly on both ends to make a very compact and powerful motor design. Also the magnetic gap motors seem like they would be pretty easy to implement into an EV motor/controller setup using todays electronic controls as well. Just a thought to consider. Dennis
