I'm trying to adapt a golf cart motor myself ... to use with a very light weight EV conversion project ... a 1958 Isetta ...
Origionally equiped with a 'funky' little 13HP gas engine weighing just 790 lbs as it left the factory

I've just bought a D & D motor systems 8.9 hp and a 19 spline internal output that I will have to adapt ...
I'm sure it would of been easier if it had a standard output shaft, but I bought this motor *new* in the origional box for about 1/3 the regular price ...
Its a dd_motors_170-502-0001 with regen rated at either 36V or 48V
