The reason that I did not bring the new covers out to the sheet metal,( actaully a soft plastic) is b/c EVERYTHING must pass the SWMBO aesthetic inspection.
This is why I blocked the upper grill from behind.
I could not find any way to keep the stock apearance when blocking from the front.
If I could find out where DPoV's clear heavy plastic came from I could wrap the grill in that. I have been looking. The best I can find is translucent heavy plastic and she doesn't like the look of that on her car.
This coming weekend I will close up the holes on the lower grill with the same styrene lens material.
