the secret ? veeeery slowly ?

90-100 is the fastest I've ever went and those are rare occurrences. My commute is short but I do use pulse/glide extensively as well as not caring to always move "with" the traffic. I think the engine in this car also really helps, I try to keep the revs as low as possible and the max. torque at 2400rpm probably helps a bit. For comparison your car has 90Nm max torque (mine has 88Nm) but at 4100rpm which means you'll probably stall it if you try to go 40-45km/h in 5th gear like I do because this old banger of mine also has quite tall gearing 0.71 5th gear vs. 0.864 for a C54 Yaris transmission (assuming that's the gearbox installed in yours).

Finally, maybe the climate in Cyprus helps me a bit, always sunny and warm so no cold starts, in fact it's tooo hooot all the time, I would love so 20-25 degree Celsius weather right about now

P.S. unfortunately this last tank I'm on now will probably be in the low 40's or God forbid high 30's because the last week I had to move job locations and the new route is a bit harder than the other one , my 50mpg goal seems further away now .
