I feel your pain. I too had many long distance 4x4 V8 commuters in my dept.. I carefully (not condescendingly) brought up the option of getting eco commuter cars, did the math, and proved that even with the addition of another vehicle it would pay for itself quickly then be all money in the bank after that. No dice. Egomania wins. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink.
