Yup! Sounds right to me. I hadn't considered gearing it so it's only assisting below X rpm. I could double my torque to the wheels by simply only having it assist between 0 and 3000 rpm, where the car spends it's entire life. I'll have to check and see what it looks like when the motor is spun faster than it's rated for.
Shade: I haven't actually done anything yet :P But I did just come up with a much more enticing title than "E.A.P." I got nothing better, so feel free to come up with some.
