It seems quite obvious, though, that the smaller your car, the better your chance of not hitting (or being hit by) a deer. Smaller target, right?

Though I can tell you that it doesn't help much when the deer is hit by the oncoming SUV, bounced into the air, and comes down flat on your hood :-(
