Ya, you could do that (a few extra parts). One path would have to be cut (no biggie), and then that path would have to get jacked in to a few components that would not be on the board. It would be a little annoying. To be specific, you would need an extra comparator (8 pin DIP chip).
Right now, I'm just converting PCB Artist to DesignSpark libraries. I'm up to 14 custom components now. Then I can order the boards from PCB Cart, and in bulk, they would cost about $4 each.
