It may also be time for a coolant flush. Although not everyone believes it, antifreeze will break down, gunk, and containment with time.

It may also be time for a waterpump. There are various designs and not all of them work as well as they age. Especially depending on the composite of the impeller. Some water pumps use PLASTIC impellers, which also degrade with time.

Check your oil and trans fluid level and quality, theres more than one reason you may be generating heat.

Check your radiator itself, got bug buildup? Dirt or mud? Bird? (oh yeah I had one of those in there, doesn't do well for a radiator for a bird to be plugging up the front)
