Much of the following information regarding the d15z7 engine is borrowed. WongKN, KatMan, CauseForAlarm all deserve alot of respect for the info they have provided about the z7 motor.

Also Big[V] from D-series.org steered me to the proper helms for the 3 stage VTEC motor.
