My name is Michael and for 25 years I have made my living as a nature photographer in Minnesota.

I have always wanted an electric car.

When I found out there was a local chapter of the EAA, I joined and went to all the meetings. It was decided to have a group conversion project.
Something a little eye-catching that the club could show at the state fair
and other public gatherings.

So about 16 of us converted a 1987 Corvette hatchback into a battery
powered electric car. It ran for the first time May 20, 2007 and now has over 5000 miles on the odometer.

Would love to get details on other Corvette conversions!
