In my area, there are three basic ways.
Option 1: Pull it around to the side or back yard. {Putting it up on cinder blocks is an option.} Walk away and ignore it, it just means less grass to mow.
Option 2: drag it behind your pickup to the scrap yard. They'll weigh it and give you a per pound amount. {Handy tip, don't empty the trunk first.}
Option 3: Put a free ad in The Swapper to sell it on the cheap. {Don't try to Google search for The Swapper unless you want to get to sites dedicated to sharing your spouse with a stranger
