Hmmmm, well, the VE RPM setting I mentioned is just to help with MPG readings. Why don't you think the 940 idle rpm is accurate? It doesn't seem out of range to me...
Wait - here is a whole thread discussing idle rpm - I think you're fine at 940.

Well - I can't post links yet here. There is a thread on SCOA where folks talk about idle rpm's ranging from 1300-1400 cold, 900-950 warm.
