2) has 504 mile "range" with manual transmission.
3) has NO spare tire (weight reduction).
4) has large 17-inch diameter wheels standard (P215/55R17).
5) literature says AUTOMATIC transmission is available; but only MANUAL is listed.
6) literature says CRUISE CONTROL is available; but only with AUTOMATIC (?) transmission.

...ta-dah(!) the 6T40 6-speed automatic transmission, with drive shift control, *IS* available on the Eco model as an option!
This is great news for me. From my POV this is an extension of the Cobalt XFE that really needed the manual tranny to be best-in-class for MPG.

How does the tire diameter size compare to the other Cruze tires? Are they making all the gears taller like I/we am doing (me too lazy to look)?

The smaller gas tank means 3 gallons less of fuel to lug around, which also saves weight.
