MPGuino here.
I mostly use the instant MPG reading, since it helps me adjust how much lead I've got on the pedal. I also like to switch back to current trip MPG periodically to see the "real world" value that I'm getting (since instant can swing pretty wide and I can't do calculus in my head). Sometimes I also check tank MPG, at least during fillup when I compare with the tank MPG I get from the pump and odometer.
I'm looking at upgrading to an Ultra Gauge. I would like to have engine temperature before I start doing any grill blocks, so I can be more aggressive in the winter and not overheat in the summer.
