I've used a few types of plastic polishes. Note the 3M stuff is quite abrasive and seems to have all sorts of "interesting" compounds in that soak into old crazed plastic and cause it to haze.

It has another good use, it takes bugs off the leading edge of your hood very well! I dislike putting clearcoat on headlamp lenses because it peels once it's taken a few stonechips.

I use Meguiar's Mirror Glaze on my trucks, it's what I used to have to use at work at the airport for cleaning the lexan windows on our fleet. (Read the bottle, it says it's Beechcraft approved), I think it's water based.
It's not very "powerful" compared to the 3M stuff, but it is very good for week-by-week cleaning of the vehicle. Does well on the dashboard etc where the clocks and radio fascia tend to get scuffed by me wiping the dust off with my fingers or sleeve when I can't see them in the sunshine.

I use the 17 and 10 bottles (cleaner and polish). Got them at O'Reilly.

Just don't keep it in the car on a hot day. I learned this, it seperates and goes nasty
