No different from most factories or indeed any organisation IMHO, there are always slackers and wasters.
When strikers took over the Clyde shipyards in the 1970s their leader made a famour speech. Part of it said

He knew his membership had a reputation for booze and he wanted none of it during the occupation.
It worked. At the time the yards were expected to close and according to the free market they should have. But they are making the RNs new Warships and Aircraft Carriers today. They are at risk again but they are still there.
Maybe if these workers spent more time supporting their company and less time on the lash, just maybe they might have something ?
