been a busy wknd

well, I took your advice and think I dropped my NFFE rating in the doing. not real down w/ look but my boy and wife think it looks like a tuner so maybe not . Many pics but took me WAY too long. stupid self tapping screws can be a curse w/ thick frame members and wussy muscles. only did the front 1/3 of undercarriage and need some advice but to backtrack a bit. took off 'old' front end, per others advice and redid. thought while off, would attack the under and make a template with packing papers (like newspaper, weak, never do this, take butcher or some other stronger paper if you are a glutton for a template).

The first image is the squirlador naked but a modesty pre-template drapped over her before I tried to get it under.

The second image is of the undercarriage w/o any add ons, not bad compared to some other images I have seen but still full of little vortex machines.

Third image is of the factory tire air dam or whatever the vendor would call it but unless it is to protect the arms, it is worthless. As you can see, it doesn't come close to lining up to tire.

Fourth image is a jump WAY ahead where the template destroyed itself but gave me a basic map of the frontend enough to get it under. For anyone trying this, do NOT use ramps unless your jack can get your tires off the ramps bc once on, the super cool air dam will not let you back off. More shots of the dam later but you can see here I tacked in a better wheel air sweep (more shots further down) and also took the excess from the wheel well and wrapped them up. this should help hamper road noise and corrosion (stupid salt). I left the excess on the side stay straight back over tire where I had wrapped before. using this for part of future front wheel wrap (trimmed on last shots). used L brackets to do that.

Fifth image is into the wheel well.

sixth image shows the air sweep for the tire. it is essentially flat, appearance of wedge is bc the existing body contour I mounted underbelly to. QUESTION, should I cut that front lip to barely clip the bellypan? I like the lower look (matches lowest point in underbody), but the front edge rounds up and the dam doesn't reflect that. I may fill the tire air wedge in with styrofoam but my body is sore and I didn't get that far.

seventh shot is a crappy one of the bellypan in but tow hooks are out (in case I ever need them at 30 below). the left, you can see the part that is not wapped up yet for the passenger tire. see that exhaust groove? my second question is how to deal with that. it droops there and there is not a nearby tack point (trough throuh car right...). so how to prevent that. considering making hangers with some electrical wire draped over exhaust but that might get hot and just conduct heat to the coroplast melting it...thougts. really open here. I drove it and it is ok but not smooth. might add some window screen over the trough later but my muscles are telling me 'yeah right'.

eighth shot is for those who ask how you will change the oil. this is the hatch closed, ninth is with it open. It wants to hold shut and you can use a finger to open the hatch for oil or filter. SWEET.

10, 11, 12 are shots of the new nose piece. like the nascar look better but think she needs to breath at least some. maybe nex gen would be more comfortable w no breather.

No shots but make coroplast wheel covers since no pizza love but they aren't on yet so will have to show later. In case this wasn't long enough.
THANK YOU ALL for you feedback. appreciate the help.
