Our 2006 v6 mustang (manual trans) gets a mixed mpg of 25-26 mpg.. with no ecomod driving
Yolanda's commute is 35 miles, and its 50% highway (speed limit is 75), 2 miles dirt road, 8 miles 2 lane (50 mph zone) and the rest is through town. She is averaging 25-26 mpg.
On the freeway she tends to get in the upper 20's. When I get to commute to work with her car (pretty rare) I can get 30mpg average. Same 2 mile dirt, 8 miles 2 lane, but then its only 18 miles of freeway then another 2 miles on the ourskirts of town.
I use a few ecomod driving tips I've picked up here (coasting, constant load etc) and it has helped. I average about 1-2 mpg more than her on the same route.
Oh yea, the motor on our mustang is definitely broken in. Its creeping up on 150k miles.
