That is a 2x2 running from the front to the back, and I just screwed the sign onto it from beneath. I may close it up a bit more with a piece between the outside edge of the sign and the bottom edge of the body panels.
That is one of the 4 studs (bolts) I welded on. MMMMM, ugly
And that is the front end, zip-tied onto the repositioned airdam support
