DIY plastic domes

I decided to try to make plastic domes by gluing a cd-cover to the open end of a tin can and sucking out the air through a check valve, after which i heated the plastic with a heat gun.

My conclusion is that i need to use a larger diameter can and get better at heating evenly with the gun.

I plan on covering my non aerodynamic foglights with these.
