I do wash mine.
I actually have a policy to make my car "Nice enough to drive even if Fuel was magically $1.00 / gallon (including externalized cost)". So I do wash it, not as often as some, but I do. Bear in mind, I have heated/ cooled leather seats, power everything (Not head rest but working on it), NAV, Bluetooth, sound deadening, Sat Radio, Sub, lot of new interior bits and other luxuries.
