That favstocks "counter point" suck.
GM's press release never compares the Cruze Eco to the Prius and yet that is the only point that the favstocks guy makes.

While I will say that calling it "hybrid like" is a bit of a stretch as a vehicle of around the same size such as a hybrid Civic gets better city and mixed driving numbers then the Cruze Eco, the fact they they get almost the same highway mileage (Civic 1 mpg higher) in a car that will cost $7,000 less is great.
Not to mention matching city driving only you would have to be comparing a Cruze Eco to a Toyota Highlander hybrid to match city mpg. ;P

While if you live, work, and play in a city this probably is not the car for you if you want optimal mpg at least it's an improvement over the Cobalts 25 mpg city.
