Do you have a Smartphone? There is tons of Freebie software that you can put on a smartphone with GPS capabilities. i loaded several to test out and find what is most accurate i am looking to use one to calculate my driving habits automatically instead of me cataloging it in manual like I currently do.

I have a HTC EVO phone that uses the Android platform so most any android phone should have this ability as long as the phone has GPS capability. Good Luck let me know what programs you find if you do this I am still lookign for something better than what i have currently.
