Nitro-nige - Up to a point, yes, it can (but not always). There is, however, a point where you aren't turning enough rpm to stay in a good BSFC zone.
Daox - Taller gears are numerically lower, so they drop rpm, giving better rpm. Higher number gears are considered "lower" gears.
