Unfortunately, the ongoing corporate strategy is to ram these unwanted accessories down our throats (and make us pay for them) whether we want them or not. In other words we have been conditioned by government and big business to believe that saying "no, thank you" is not an option. The alternatives are either to buy an older, used vehicle, or not to buy at all. When everyone (or most people) stops buying new cars, the manufacturers will get the message, and maybe then they'll heed the market and provide more choices.
