First snow since I got studded tires for my bike

. I did ride them for a week or so on dry pavement to see how they felt- feel like I`m pulling a Winnebago and sound like frying bacon. They seemed to hold fairly well in the little bit of ice we had last week, but this morning really wasn`t much of a test. They definitely make less racket with a little snow under them, though.
Last year I made chains, which worked surprisingly well, but wore out WAY too fast. I was going to try again this year with heavier material, but I ran into a deal I couldn`t pass up on the stud muffins.
