I think phasing out petroleum based diesel or at least cutting down the consumption will have a great positive effect on the environment AND the cost of a barrel of oil at the same time. Current estimates put diesel consumption for road use at 40 BILLION gallons a year in the U.S. so even just putting B5 as a standard for all diesel would save 2 BILLIONS gallons a year!!!! On top of that, if we put forth effort to use all the WVO for non-commercial use (your car and mine) it should cost significantly less than using diesel from the pump.
