My block heater decided to go belly up right after my glow plugs died. I resorted to buying a cheap hair dryer to throw under the hood and a blanket over the radiator and hood. Hair dryers usually draw about 1500 Watts or more. It works but takes longer than using a block heater because it heats everything under the hood.
