My car isn't available with a M/T, but even if it was, I couldn't have got one. We are a one car family and my wife will not drive a standard, so, it's a moot point. Suggesting that she hypermile is taboo as well, but that's a lament for another time. Still, I think that a modern auto. is probably just as fuel efficient as a m/t if you take EOC and all the related techniques that rely on it out of the picture.
